                    HOUSE BILL No. 2605           By Special Committee on Community College Governance           12-17             9             AN ACT making and concerning appropriations for the fiscal year ending
10             June 30, 1999, for the state board of regents; authorizing certain trans-
11             fers and fees, imposing certain restrictions and limitations, and direct-
12             ing or authorizing certain receipts and disbursements and acts inci-
13             dental to the foregoing.

15       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
16           Section 1. (a) For the fiscal year ending June 30, 1999, appropria-
17       tions are hereby made, restrictions and limitations are hereby imposed,
18       and transfers, capital improvement projects, fees, receipts, disbursements
19       and acts incidental to the foregoing are hereby directed or authorized as
20       provided in this act.
21           Sec. 2.
22       STATE BOARD OF REGENTS 23           (a) There is appropriated for the above agency from the state general 24       fund the following:

26       Provided, That, of the amount appropriated from the state general fund in the municipal
27       university operating grant account for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1999, the sum of
28       $503,890 constitutes the amount replacing out-district tuition for Washburn university for
29       fiscal year 1999.

31       Provided, That the amount appropriated from the state general fund in the municipal uni-
32       versity equity grant account for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1999, shall constitute the
33       equity grant provided for by subsection (b) of K.S.A. 72-6503 and amendments thereto.
34           Sec. 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July
35       1, 1998, or the date upon which the omnibus reconciliation spending limit
36       bill of 1998 becomes effective, whichever is later, and its publication in
37       the statute book.
