10  AN ACT concerning the state educational institutions; relating to regu-
11    lation and control of traffic and parking; amending K.S.A. 1996 Supp.
12    74-3213 and repealing the existing section.

14  Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
15    Section 1.  K.S.A. 1996 Supp. 74-3213 is hereby amended to read as
16  follows: 74-3213. The governing authority of an institution may provide
17  for the charging and collection of fees for the use of parking facilities and
18  for campus transportation systems at the institution, and these and all
19  fees for misuse of parking areas so collected shall be placed in a separate
20  account and may be used by the institution for payment of the expense
21  of enforcing the rules and policies governing parking and speed limits
22  and the construction, acquisition, maintenance and repair of parking fa-
23  cilities for vehicles and for campus transportation systems for vehicles
24  at such institution.
25    Sec. 2.  K.S.A. 1996 Supp. 74-3213 is hereby repealed.
26    Sec. 3.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
27  publication in the statute book.
