 9  AN ACT requiring certain school districts to transfer amounts attributable
10    to school facilities weighting from the supplemental general fund to
11    the general fund.

13  Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
14    Section 1.  (a) On or before June 1 of the 1996-97 school year, each
15  school district, to which the provisions of K.S.A. 1996 Supp. 72-6441, and
16  amendments thereto, apply, shall transfer from the supplemental general
17  fund of the district to the general fund of the district an amount, to be
18  determined by the state board of education, which is equal to the differ-
19  ence between the amount attributable to school facilities weighting that
20  the district will receive in the 1996-97 school year due to operation of the
21  provisions of section 10 of 1997 House Bill No. 2031 and the amount the
22  district would have received if the provisions of section 10 of 1997 House
23  Bill No. 2031 had not been in effect for the 1996-97 school year.
24    (b)  The provisions of this section shall expire on June 30, 1997.
25    Sec. 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
26  publication in the Kansas register.
